This presentation will focus on the complications that may be seen during the course of this treatment. These complications may actually be normal maintenance procedures that need to be identified prior to the start of any proposed treatment and conveyed to the patient. A clear picture of preventable and non-preventable complications will be discussed. The attendee will be exposed to many different complications involving implant treatment through numerous clinical examples.

Dr. Carl F. Driscoll currently serves as a Professor at the University of Maryland Dental School and as Director of the Prosthodontics Residency. Dr. Discoll is a Diplomate of the American board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP). Dr. Driscoll has served as President of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, President of the American Board of Prosthodontics, and currently serves as President of the ACP. He has been awarded both the Garver-Staffanou and Moulton Awards from the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Driscoll has given over 350 presentations nationally and internationally and has authored over 75 publications. He recently co-published the book “Clinical Applications of Digital Dental Technology with his colleague Dr. Radi Masri.
